Dheeraj learned this trade the way most shopkeepers in Narayangaon did — by watching feet. Which sole wears out on farm roads, which strap bites in the monsoon, which size a customer really needs when they insist they take a 9.
That is still how the stock gets chosen. Nothing goes on the shelf, or on this website, unless he has held it, bent the sole and decided it will survive a year of real use.

Dheeraj Gopal Chavan opened the shop with a small stock of chappals and school shoes, and a rule that has not changed since: nobody leaves with a pair that does not fit.
Kolhapuris became our name
We started sourcing directly from hand-stitching families in the Kolhapur belt. Word travelled, and customers began coming to Narayangaon from three talukas just for those chappals.
The whole family, head to toe
Ladies sandals and mojadis, gents formals and sneakers, kids school shoes — the shelves grew until one visit could sort out an entire household.
Now shipping all India
Customers who moved to Pune, Mumbai or further kept calling to ask if we could courier a pair. We could. So we built this store, and now the same shelves reach 26,000+ pin codes.
