Handcrafted Kolhapuri chappals and mojadis in genuine leather — made the way they have always been made, by the families who have always made them.
A real Kolhapuri has no nails and no glue in it. It is vegetable-tanned buffalo leather, braided by hand and stitched with thread, and it is finished by craftsmen in the Kolhapur belt who learnt it from their fathers.
That construction is why a genuine pair feels stiff for the first week and then becomes the most comfortable thing you own. The leather takes the shape of your foot and stays there for years.
Keep them away from water, wipe them dry if they get caught in the rain, and rub in a little castor or coconut oil once a month. Treated that way, a single pair outlasts four pairs of anything else.
